1,600 Apartment units sold in North Texas

​​An image of one of the communities purchased by Watertown​DALLAS, PLANO – A Chicago investor has purchased four North Texas apartment communities with more than 1,600 rental units.

Watertown acquired two Dallas apartment projects and two in Plano as part of a larger nationwide acquisition.

The Dallas purchases include:

  • the 417-unit Mockingbird Flats apartments on SMU Blvd. near US 75; and 
  • the 535-unit Gramercy on the Park apartments on Bush Turnpike at the Dallas North Tollway.​

The Plano purchases, both near Preston Rd., include:

  • the 380-unit Creekside at Legacy apartments; and 
  • the 302-unit Lakeshore at Preston apartments. 

The company also bought the 432-unit Plantation at the Woodlands in Houston.

Waterton now owns and manages ten rental communities in Texas with more than 3,500 units.
