Supercenter out, Megacenter in
HOUSTON – A former Walmart Supercenter in northwest Houston is being redeveloped into Megacenter Willowbrook—a mixed-use project with industrial flex, self-storage, retail and office space, as well as a gym and an auto center.
The 235,627-sf Megacenter Willowbrook is the fifth such redevelopment project in the U.S. by Megacenter, a Florida-based subsidiary of Chile-based Red Megacentro.
The project is on 24 acres at 7075 FM 1960, across the street from Willowbrook Mall.
The first phase of the project will consist of a 113,940-sf gym, 47,319 sf of flex space and a 6,810-sf auto center.
Phase two and three will be underway later.
